The team possesses many years of extensive and in-depth experience in global precious metals trading and international investment management.

Managing Partner of philoro EDELMETALLE GmbH
Rudolf Brenner was born in 1976 in Leipzig and has been working in the investment sector since 2000, including positions at Deutsche Bank, Dale Investment Advisors, and Bankhaus Vontobel. He is an advocate of the Austrian School of Economics. To realize his idea of an independent precious metals trading house, he co-founded philoro PRECIOUS METALS GmbH with René Brückler.

René Brückler was born in 1976 in Vienna and has been working in the investment sector since 1998, including 11 years at Erste Bank. His affinity for precious metals and extensive knowledge of commodity markets encouraged him, together with Rudolf Brenner and Mark Valek, to co-found philoro EDELMETALLE GmbH.

Steffen Horn
Managing Director of philoro – Germany
Steffen Horn was born in Stuttgart in 1979 and has been active in precious metals trading since 2007. Prior to discovering his passion for gold and silver, he held senior positions in the automotive supply industry. He gained many years of experience at a precious metals processing company and has been part of the management team at philoro in Germany since October 2015.
Tobias Kascha
Managing Director of philoro – Germany
Tobias Kascha was born in Schwedt in 1984 and brings more than a decade of experience in the precious metals industry, where he held a wide range of specialist and leadership roles. Following a banking apprenticeship and studies in business administration, he assumed positions of responsibility in the banking sector and at leading precious metals dealers in the German-speaking region. Tobias Kascha has been a member of the management team at philoro in Germany since August 2023.

Christian Brenner
Chairman of the Board of Directors of philoro SCHWEIZ AG
Christian Brenner was born in 1979 and studied journalism and communication sciences. Since 2017, he has served as Managing Director of philoro SCHWEIZ AG, an owner-managed family business within the philoro HOLDING. He is also a member of the board of directors of philoro Global Trading, philoro North America, and philoro International Holding. From 2011 to 2019, he served as Managing Director of philoro EDELMETALLE GmbH in Germany. In addition, Christian Brenner is a guest lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a member of several chambers of commerce trade committees.
