1.4 Newsletter
We use Brevo as a data processor for sending newsletters, emails and, where applicable, for managing recipient lists. Brevo is a service provided by Brevo SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France. The data entered as part of a subscription or mailing process is processed on Brevo’s servers. Brevo states that data is hosted within the European Union; according to Brevo, hosting providers include OVH in France and Germany as well as Google Cloud in Belgium.
The processing is carried out for the purpose of sending newsletters, managing consents, maintaining distribution lists and, where applicable, carrying out statistical analysis of campaigns, provided that we use these functions. Depending on the form or mailing, the following data in particular may be processed: email address, name, date and time of subscription, IP address, and interaction data such as opens and clicks. The legal basis is generally your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or, where applicable, our legitimate interest in efficient and secure communication pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo. Brevo states that the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) forms part of its Terms and Conditions.

3.1 Google Analytics
Our website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics (Google LLC, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Hotjar’s technology helps us gain insights into user interactions (e.g., time spent on specific pages, clicked links, user preferences) so that we can improve our services based on user feedback. Hotjar utilizes cookies and other tracking technologies to collect data on user behavior and device details, in particular, the IP address of the device (collected and stored in an anonymized format during website use), screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, location (country only) and preferred language settings. We have integrated YouTube videos on our website, which are stored on ‘www.youtube.com‘ and can be played directly from our site. These videos are embedded in ‘enhanced privacy mode’, meaning that no data is transmitted to YouTube unless you actively play the videos. Only when you start a video will YouTube cookies be stored on your device, and data will be transferred to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which operates YouTube. When you visit this website, personal data is processed. The categories of data processed include: data regarding website usage and the logging of clicks on individual elements. Purpose of processing: to examine user behavior, analyze the effectiveness of online marketing measures, and select online advertisements on other platforms, which are automatically chosen via real-time bidding based on user behavior. The legal basis for processing: Your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. Data is transferred to: the independent data controller Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place South County Business Park, Leopardstown Dublin, 18 D18 P521, Ireland. The legal basis for the data transfer to Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. This may also involve the transfer of personal data to a country outside the European Union. The transfer of data to the United States is based on Article 45 of the GDPR in conjunction with the European Commission’s Adequacy Decision C(2023) 4745, as the data recipient has committed to complying with the data processing principles of the Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
