The silver coin Kangaroo 1/1 is the counterpart to the Australian Nugget (Gold Kangaroo) and starts with the year of mint 2016. The gold coin was first minted at Perth Mint in 1986 and, thanks to the annual changing motif on the back, enjoys great worldwide popularity. The Silver Kangaroo is a bullion coin just like the Maple Leaf and is therefore close to the silver price (spot). It has a fineness of 999,9. 

Design of the silver coin

The reverse is the same as the gold investment coin and shows the “Red Kangaroo“ on a sunburst background as well as the writing “Australian Kangaroo“, year of mint, weight and fineness.
The front, as all coins of the Commonwealth, displays the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the words “ELIZABETH II”, “AUSTRALIA” and “1 DOLLAR”.
